What are Implant-supported Dentures?

Implant-supported dentures, also known as Snap-In Implant Dentures are custom-made dentures that securely attach to the dental implants placed by your dentist. By securing your dentures with implants, you can enjoy the following advantages:
  • Elevate your dining experience with dental implants | Enjoy your favorite foods with confidence and strength.
  • Secure and stable | Non-removable dentures stay in place for a worry-free smile.
  • Comfort and confidence | Say goodbye to discomfort and enjoy a secure fit.
  • Improved nutrition | Chew with ease and get the most out of your meals.
  • Suitable for all | Minimal bone requirement makes implants accessible to more patients.
  • Maintain jaw health | Dental implants promote bone growth and prevent further loss.
  • Eliminate gagging | Say goodbye to discomfort with a customized fit.
  • Enhanced comfort | Reduce irritation and enjoy a comfortable fit all day long.
  • Savor the flavor | Enhance your taste experience with dental implants.

Comparison between Snap-In Implant Dentures and Traditional Dentures

No need for a silvery reminder of your cavity. With a tooth-colored filling, your tooth will match the rest of your smile for a natural, seamless look.

Traditional dentures often come with issues such as reduced chewing ability, discomfort, and instability. Lower dentures, in particular, can restrict chewing power to only 10-20% of natural teeth due to constant movement. This can make eating and speaking difficult, leading to embarrassment in social situations.

Pain and gum irritation are also common with traditional dentures, especially lower ones that shift frequently. This can impact nutrition and digestion, as well as contribute to bone loss over time. Additionally, traditional upper dentures can cause gagging due to the need for stability, which can be challenging to address without compromising suction.

Snap-In Implant Dentures offer a solution to these problems by providing improved chewing ability, speech, comfort, and stability. With these innovative dentures, patients can enjoy a better quality of life without the limitations of traditional dentures.

Am I eligible?

Most patients are eligible! A short consultation is needed for confirmation. This will include a 3D scan of your jawbones, an oral exam by the dentist, and a thorough review of your medical history.

How many implants will be required for my treatment?

  • Upper | At least 4 implants are required for an upper implant denture.
  • Lower | Although a lower implant denture can work with just 2 implants, adding 3 or 4 implants typically improves retention and stability significantly.

Timeline for Snap-In Implant Dentures Procedure:

It usually takes about 6 months to complete the process from beginning to end.

1

Procedure

After extracting all teeth and performing any required oral surgeries, the implants are inserted into the jawbone. Gradually, the implants will integrate with the bone, becoming indistinguishable. They will remain undisturbed in your jaw for a minimum of 4 months as the bone fuses with them through osseointegration.

2

Post Op

We will have a short post-operative visit scheduled for a week after your procedure. During this appointment, we will check your mouth, make sure your dentures are comfortable, and answer any questions you may have.

3

Soft Liners / Soft Re-Fittings

Soft liners are utilized as cushions for your dentures while your gums are healing. They assist in filling any gaps that may develop between your gums and dentures, offering extra comfort and cushioning. By improving the fit and feel of your dentures, soft liners enhance your overall experience.

4

Uncovery

This procedure involves uncovering the implants and placing small healing abutments to shape your gums in preparation for snap-in dentures.

5

Attachment of Implants to Dentures

We will replace your healing abutments with denture abutments and complete the necessary steps to attach your dentures to implants. This procedure usually takes a day, but may occasionally require additional time.
